Apartment with Breathtaking Panoramic Views

This incredible apartment in Darling Point, Sydney has a privileged location which allows its inhabitants to enjoy stunning views of the harbor and Opera House. This apartment takes up the whole 16′th floor of a circular tower, which makes things… panoramic. Here is some information from Stanic Harding Architecture, the designers of this modern project: “Our desire was to alter the space to maximize its potential. This was done by reconfiguring the apartment to allow for a continuous path through all the spaces. All doors between rooms slide away into joinery to provide for an unencumbered journey to emphasis this. The apartment was stripped back to concrete shell and the spaces were redesigned to suit the tight dimension between core and window wall whilst at the same time to maximize the sense of space. This was done by spaces being more radial than orthogonal and further enhanced by each room maximizing its connection to full window bays wherever possible.” We appreciate  the highly modern feel that this apartment inspires, but in the same time can’t help but notice the seriousness of the interior design.

Cozy Reader’s Apartment in Cluj-Napoca, Romania

Freshome readers. Located in Cluj Napoca, Romania, this cozy crib has a few American influences, due to the fact that its owner spends nine months a year working in Arizona. The apartment has 35 square meters and features a living room, a kitchen and a bathroom. Initially there was a wall between the living room and kitchen, but it was demounted so more living space could be gained. The owner wanted an airy home, without useless furniture items and other forms of clutter. The furniture was custom made by a friend. We really like the wall shelves and think they manage to add style, functionality and an overall warm feel. The color palette (black, white, red, silver) is engaging and not at all tiring. The apartment is located on the forth floor of a building and overlooks a beautiful forest. We really want to know how you see this place and if you consider the owner did a good job in designing this small home. We certainly do.
