Especially Designed for the Wine Lovers

The classy wine showroom also known as “LA GALERIE DU VIN” was especially developed for wine lovers and is not only a place for sale, but also a gathering area for the “connoisseurs”. Within the store, customers can taste from the various samples and share ideas during themed seminars. Here is more informations from OOS: Some 1,500 unbranded wine cases from the Bordeaux region cover the entire room up to the ceiling, creating a cave-like environment. The wooden cases are simultaneously an architectural element and a part of the furniture. Arranged in a grid pattern they serve as a platform for about 570 wines, books, seating areas and illuminated table display cabinets. The mostly French wines are spatially divided into various geographical regions and groupings, which conceal specific histories, cultures and landscapes. The reception counter is located in the middle of the room – it is equipped for wine consultation and with its violet and ruby colours provides quite a contrast to the wood of the wine cases. The original method of presentation together with the elaborate lighting design create more than just a wine showcase. As passers-by enter, they are “confronted” with an impressive gallery, a true wine museum.

Queen Elizabeth II Stamp Rugs

all of which had something that made them unique. The rugs we would like to present today were inspired by stamps belonging to the Royal Mail and feature Queen Elisabeth II. This unusual indoor idea belongs to Rug-Maker, a hand knotted custom rug company. In order to produce and sell these carpets, an exclusive global license to manufacture Machin’s Stamp Rugs was granted by the Royal Mail. The collection is 100% handmade from 100% New Zealand wool in Nepal and comes in a rich color palette. The product is also available in various dimensions and aside from being used as a common rug, it can also be hung on the wall for an alternative look. You can purchase the stamp rug online by filling up this form- via Decoesfera

Unworldly Fitness Climbing Wall with Odd Challenges

The people in the images below look quite unusual doing what they do. But keep in mind that this is a very efficient sport, with immediate results. The uncommon climbing wall below is just one of the “accessories” of the much talked about Illoiha Omotesando fitness club in Tokyo and was designed by Nendo. Instead of the usual rock-shaped holding elements, this wall features plenty of unexpected objects which the climber will definitely find… propulsive.
