Modern House Deep in the Forest

This is actually a visual illusion – the house maintains the slope of the land, while blending in with the natural environment, with trees that bring shade and comfort. Eco-friendly features earned it the prize from Juan de Vega Foundation. The Spanish designers from Rosales and Crecente Architects created this home in the forest from wood, the basic material for the exterior of the house, as well as the surrounding area. Placed in a small forest of oak, birch and chestnut trees, the Tellada House surprises with its modern appearance that amazingly fits right in.

Charming and Bright Apartment

Measuring 94 square meters, this place features large, open interiors and inspiring decors. Straight ahead from the entrance hall there is a large living room that serves as a dining area and as a gathering place between friends.  The room is perceived as very large and airy and offers various seating arrangements. The ceiling is more than 3 meters tall, which is quite impressive. A curved wall of windows facing the balcony creates a nice contrast with the other straight walls painted in a broken white color. We particularly like the framed Andy Warhol quotes above the dining table and the fresh colorful decorating items spread around the apartment. The balcony offers a wonderful place for taking a hot tea or a fresh coffee in the morning or enjoying a good book. Looks inviting?

Original Home with Charming Design

This beautiful residence is located in South Africa, in a small urban settlement. A single photo of the exterior is enough to demonstrate this home’s originality. The horizontal window “shields” made of wood have a particular charm and give the home a personalized look. With floor to ceiling windows, the indoor-outdoor connection is optimized without affecting the privacy of the inhabitants. Water was an important factor when laying out the outdoor space. Aside from the generous pool complimented by a dining area, the residence is enriched by various “oases”. The interior design is highly modern, with beautiful contemporary furniture arrangements and inspiring details. What intrigued us is the barbed wire in the last photo (a common addition to fences in South Africa) which contrasts heavily with the overall design of the house.
